Kenneth Noonan, MBA, CEP®
Managing Director
Ken Noonan is a founding partner and the Managing Director at Capital Planning Partners. Ken oversees the business management and compliance operations of the company. Ken specializes in developing advanced planning strategies for business owners and executives, advising clients with an integrated approach that spans estate planning, intergenerational wealth transfer, executive compensation, and business succession planning.
Prior to establishing Capital Planning Partners, Ken enjoyed a highly successful 20-year corporate career with extensive experience in general management. Serving as President, Executive Vice President and in other senior management positions, Ken played a vital role in several venture-backed and Fortune 500 companies, such as PlanetRX.com, Option Care, Manor Care, IBM and Sun Healthcare.
Ken earned a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Florida State University and an MBA from St. Mary’s College in Moraga. He is a Certified Estate Planner and he holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses. An avid golfer, Ken supports the Chattanooga First Tee Chapter and is active in supporting several local charities in the Chattanooga area.
Charles Tyler
Chief Investment Officer
Charles Tyler is a founding partner and the Chief Investment Officer at Capital Planning Partners. Chuck oversees the asset management for the firm, formulating the investment strategy, portfolio construction and asset allocation for our private and corporate clients. Understanding the dynamic nature of both the financial markets and clients’ financial objectives, Chuck feels it is essential to communicate on a regular basis with our clients to ensure their portfolios are properly positioned to address current market conditions as well as their short and long range goals.
Chuck is a veteran of the financial services industry. Prior to establishing Capital Planning Partners in 2002, Chuck was a Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Chuck began his wealth management career at Dean Witter. His experience with the global financial markets and serving high net worth individuals and corporate clients spans nearly thirty years.
Chuck earned a B.S. in Business from Loyola Marymount University. He holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and 66 licenses. Chuck grew up in Silicon Valley and has many ties to the local community. He is an active alum of Bellarmine College Preparatory, and has been involved in community fundraising as a board member of the San Jose Repertory Theater and Junior Achievement. Chuck resides in the East Bay with his wife and three sons.
